Summary:
KCEB identified two County At-Large races were inadvertently omitted from absentee ballots issued before July 17, 2026.
As soon as the issue was discovered, KCEB took immediate action to ensure all impacted voters have the opportunity to vote in those races.
What You Need To Know
Voters who voted absentee on or before July 17th have been called or emailed and provided with options to ensure they can cast votes in the two previously omitted County At-Large races.
ALL ballots cast on or before July 17 remain valid and will be counted. No ballots have been spoiled.
Impacted voters may do one of the following:
- Return to KCEB, located at 4405 E. 50th Terr., and vote on the two County At-Large races on paper ballots that were previously omitted races.
- Impacted voters were offered a corrected replacement ballot to be sent to them by overnight delivery or regular mail. Notary requirements are not necessary if prior absentee ballot was returned properly notarized.
- If unable to travel due to illness or incapacity, bipartisan election teams are available, in accordance with Missouri Law, to deliver the corrected ballot to voters homes if needed
Additional Notes
All replacement ballots must be received by the close of the polls on Election Day, August 4, 2026
The ballot issue was been fully corrected and does NOT impact No-Excuse Absentee Voting or Election Day voting.
KCEB’s priority is ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast a complete and accurate ballot. We acted immediately to correct the issue, notify
